Bioresorbable Bone Fracture Plate
ACUTE’s BioBridge™ Resorbable Chest Wall Stabilization Plate is designed to provide stabilization for fractures and osteotomies during thoracotomy procedures or as supplemental fixation to chest wall injuries.
Patients with fractures or osteotomies caused during surgery could benefit from a resorbable plate that provides stability, decreasing healing time and patient pain.
Resorbable
The BioBridge Resorbable Chest Wall Stabilization Plate is a blend of polylactide Acid that will resorb in approximately 24 months, giving the utmost stability in a non-permanent solution.
Stability
The Bioresorbable bone fracture plate has multiple staggered holes to facilitate around or through the bone suturing, providing stable fixation in small and soft bone
Flexible
The Bioresorbable Bone Fracture Plate is flexible to address bone contouring and challenging fracture locations.

General Indications
In the presence of appropriate additional immobilization or fixation, indicated for maintaining the alignment and fixation of bone fractures, osteotomies, arthrodeses or bone grafts, and maintenance of relative position of weak bony tissue (e.g., bone grafts, bone graft substitutes, or bone fragments from comminuted fractures), in trauma and reconstructive procedures ot the thorax.
Stabilizes
- Fractures or osteotomies of the rib following a thoracotomy procedure
- Multiple rib fractures when used with the RibLoc® Rib Fracture Plating System
- Supplemental stabilization during chest wall reconstruction
